While peer groups can have both positive and negative effects on academic outcomes, it is essential to understand and address the negative influences to prevent school dropout. Educational institutions, parents, and communities must work collaboratively to create an environment that supports positive peer relationships and encourages academic success, ultimately reducing school dropout rates and promoting the educational attainment of all adolescents. Education is widely recognized as a cornerstone of personal development and economic opportunity, so addressing dropout rates is a significant concern for governments. Governments can establish programs aimed at reintegrating dropouts back into the education system.
