dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between Emotional Intelligence Leadership Styles and Job Performance among Teachers of Hormisdallen Primary School. The study was guided by the following objectives, to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership styles, to examine the relationship between leadership styles and job performance and to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance. The study adopted a correlation study design which was used and data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire. The respondents included the head teacher, deputies, heads of departments, class coordinators, senior men and women, captains and other teachers at Hormisdallen Primary School Gayaza. The population of the study was 45 administrators but the researcher used a sample size of 40 respondents with 22 males and 18 females who were selected using a simple random sampling technique and data was analysed using the statistical package for social scientists (SPSS V25). Following the results, the study revealed a strong positive significant relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership (p=0.01, r=.007). The study confirmed a strong positive relationship between leadership and job performance (p=0.01, r=.001). The study confirmed a strong positive relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance (p=0.01, r=.000). Therefore, I recommend leaders to manage their emotions and those of their subordinates in order to enhance job performance.en_US
