dc.description.abstractThe dissertation focuses on the relationship between social economic status, self esteem and substance abuse. The quantitative research was carried out to find if there is a significant relationship. The findings of the research were in line with the literature that had been presented and it was found that there was a significant relationship between Social economic status and self esteem. The dissertation further indicates that there is no significant relationship between substance abuse and social economic status, and self esteem and substance abuse. The conclusions are discussed in the last chapter and further research is recommended.en_US
