Reward system, employee motivation and job performance among support staff of Makerere University

This study aimed at investigating if there is a relationship between reward systems, employee motivation and Job Performance among support staff of Makerere University. The study involved a sample of 80 male and female respondents from College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS) and College of Education and External Studies (CEES) of Makerere University. The data was collected using questionnaires from respondents’ selected using sample random sampling. The study findings indicate that there is no significant relationship between reward system and employee motivation, there is a positive significant relationship between employee motivation and job performance of employees and that there is no significant relationship between reward systems and job performance.
