Decent work environment, employee engagement and job satisfaction among employees of Ministry of Foreign Affairs

This study examined the Decent Work Environment and its relationship to Employee Engagement and Job Satisfaction among the employees at Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A cross-sectional and correlational study designs were used find the relationship between the three variables. Data was collected from 70 respondents through a questionnaire tool. Data collected was analyzed on Statistical Package for Social Scientist (SPSS) version 23 to describe the frequency of the respondents and correlated to explain the relationship between Decent Work Environment and its influence on Employee Engagement and Job Satisfaction. According to the results of this research study, Decent Work Environment has been found to have a positive significant relationship with Employee Engagement. Decent Work Environment also a positive significant relationship with Job Satisfaction. Employee Engagement has also been found to have a significant positive relationship with Job Satisfaction. Managers of organizations should establish a Decent Work Environment as this has been found to have a significant positive relationship with employee engagement and job satisfaction. The more decent the work environment, the more employees are engaged and satisfied with their job.
