dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between job induction, and engagement and its impact on turnover intentions among Mulago hospital health workers. the study intended to achieve the following objectives, to establish the relationship between induction and employee engagement, establish the relationship between engagement and turnover intentions and to establish the relationship between induction and turnover intentions. a correlation study design was used in the study to establish the relationship among the variables. the study used a sample of 143 respondents who were adopted using a random sampling technique. data was collected using self administered questionnaires and later analyzed using statistical package of social scientists. the results showed there is a significant relationship between job induction and engagement, engagement and turnover intentions. meaning a decrease in engagement leads to an increase in turnover intent. The study identified the need for organizations to increase job induction of employees as away to improve engagement and reduce turnover intentions in organizations. organizational mangers and human resource practitioners should support induction of employees since it's an on job motivator, helps in providing information, builds confidence which helps improve on performance.en_US
