dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between job stress, job
satisfaction and turnover intentions. The study was intending to achieve objectives: To examine
the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction, to ascertain the relationship between
job satisfaction and turnover intentions and to determine the relationship between job stress and
turnover intentions.
The study was using a sample of 60 respondents who were adopted using sampling
technique data was collected using self-administered questionnaires and later analyzed using
SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Scientists) version 20.0. The findings show that job stress
and job satisfaction is negatively and significantly related (p=.000at r=.-669) furthermore the
findings show that job satisfaction and turnover intentions are negatively and significantly
related (P=.000, r=.-578). However, findings show that job stress and turnover intentions are
positively and significantly related (P=.000, r=.565). But it was recommended that
organizational policies, practices and procedures that are aimed at reducing workplace stress
such stress management techniques, employee assistance programs should be encouraged and
strengthened at the workplace because they improve on the levels of satisfaction of employees at
the workplace thereby minimizing the rates of turnover intentions. | en_US |
