dc.description.abstractDomestic violence, self-esteem and drug abuse among youth are social problems which violates young people’s rights and affects their development. The study investigated the relationship between domestic violence, self-esteem and drug abuse among youth. The study was conducted in Katanga and a representative sample of 50 respondents was used. The quantitative research method was adopted to collect data from respondents, this method involved open ended questions that were distributed to all respondents who were willing to participate in the research project. After data collection, The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) for Windows version 12.0 was used for data analysis. The study recommends that the Department of mental health, Ministry of health and Government should ensure that at least in each and every community there is a psychologist to educate the youth so as to increase their awareness about domestic violence, self-esteem and drug abuse. they should also raise awareness about good parenting styles among parents so as to tame their children in order to lower the rate of criminality in the societyen_US
