dc.description.abstractThe Study Sought to identify the relationship between Domestic Violence, self-esteem and Depression among the school going adolescents of Progressive secondary school Kitintale Kampala District. The research was quantitative research design and Participants were selected using systematic random sampling technique, questionnaires were administered to the students selected. The study involved a critical review of the existing literature which was obtained through internet, journals, articles, and library books. Then row data was captured from completed questionnaire sheets entered into statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) for analysis. Frequencies and percentages were used for descriptive statistics and the hypothesis were tested using the Pearson correlation Co Efficient (H1). the study observed that there was significant relationship between Domestic Violence and self-esteem among school going adolescents, there was is a significant relationship between Domestic Violence and depression among school going adolescents at Progressive Senior secondary school and there was a significant relationship between self-esteem and Depression. Adolescents who did not witness their parents fighting had grades at school, and also had a high self-esteem.en_US
