This research investigated the relationship between perceived organizational support, organizational commitment and turnover intentions among employees at the Mbale District Local Government. The objectives were to find out the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS) and organizational commitment (OC), organizational commitment and turnover intention, perceived organizational support and turn over intention and to establish how POS, organizational commitment and turnover intentions (TI) are related. The study was carried out using a cross sectional design, questionnaires were used to collect data from respondents. The sample constituted of 80 employees of the Mbale District Local Government. Data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used to test the relationships. The results indicated that there was no significant relationship between POS and OC, and between POS and TI however there was a significant negative relationship between OC and TI. Thus the study provided several recommendations to scholars, government, and organizations. That is to say, scholars should add the findings of this study to the existing literature on the relationship between POS, OC and TI in Local Governments and thus boost research. Government should help create awareness about the consequences of POS, OC and TI in organizations and their relationship with each other. The findings of this study should be used by employers to help curb down the rate of turnover in their organizations as all the above variables are related to turnover in one way or the other.en_US
