    Employee engagement and job satisfaction among Golden Tripod (U) Limited employees in Kampala Uganda

    Abstract
    The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between employee engagement and job satisfaction among Golden Tripod (U) LTD employees in Kampala (Uganda). The study was guided by three objectives and these were; - To find out the levels of employee engagement among Golden Tripod (U) LTD employees, to find out the levels of job satisfaction among Golden Tripod (U) LTD employeesand to find out if employee engagement and job satisfaction are significantly related. Furthermore, the study was also guided by a hypothesis which stated that “Employee engagement and job satisfaction are significantly related”. The estimated population of the study comprised of all employees of Golden Tripod (U) LTD however, only 40 respondents were sampled using a self-administered questionnaire comprised of open ended items along a Likert scale. Analysis was run using Statistical Package for Social Sciences using frequencies, percentages and Pearson correlation coefficient. The findings were presented in tables and these revealed that both employee engagement and job satisfaction were high basing on the percentages in agreement with the questionnaire items. The stated hypothesis “Employee engagement and Job satisfaction are significantly related” was retained meaning there was a positive thou weak relationship between the two variables concluding that engagement levels have an effect on satisfaction.
