dc.description.abstractThe study examined the relationship between social support, self- esteem and Depression among adolescents. The study employed a correlational research design that was quantitative in nature. Self-administered questionnaires with standardized research items were used to collect data. A sample of 100 respondents which consists of 69 males and 31 females, between the age of 13 to 20 years was selected by use of simple random sampling technique. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 23. Pearson Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. Results indicated that there is a significant relationship between social support and self-esteem among adolescents. However, results revealed that there is negative significant relationship between social support and self-esteem. It was further revealed that there is a significant relationship between social support and depression among adolescents. Therefore, guidance and counseling services should be provided to all adolescents in schools.en_US
