Employee training, creativity and job performance among employees of Makerere University
Abstract
This research was conducted to examine the relationship between Employee Training, Creativity and Job Performance among Employees of Makerere University and was carried out during June to August. Many teachers today are seen to concentrate on notes giving ignoring the fact that for learning to take place, students have to understand the concept taught and be able to apply it where necessary. This is due to lack of creativity among Makerere university employees. The study used a correlation research design, data was collected from 100 respondents of Makerere University from both female and male and SPSS was used for documents analysis and discussions. The findings revealed that Employee Training, Creativity and Job Performance are significantly related. This study concluded that training imparts new knowledge and skills to employees which is used to create new ideas, products and processes which improves job performance. Organisations should train their employees and also provide necessary equipment and tools for task accomplishment thereby creating room for increase in creativity which leads to job performance.
