dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parenting styles, drug abuse and risky sexual behaviors among adolescents in secondary schools. A correlational study design using quantitative design was used to examine the relationship between the variables. The study considered 100 randomly selected respondents, which included both males and females. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS version 20 in which Pearson’s correlation co-efficiency (r) was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. The results indicated that, there was a significant relationship between parenting styles and risky sexual behaviors; there was no significant relationship between parenting styles and drug abuse and there was no significant relationship between drug abuse and risky sexual behaviors among secondary school adolescents. And therefore, it was concluded that, no significant relationships exists between the variables in this particular study.en_US
