dc.description.abstractThe study examined the relationship among Motivation and Job Performance of Makerere University Lecturers. It’s intended to achieve the following objectives; to examine the level of motivation among the respondents, to examine the level of employee performance among the respondents, and to determine the relationship between motivation and job performance The study adopted a correlation study design. The study used 60 respondents and data was collected by use of a self -administered standard questionnaire. That data was then analysed using statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 21. Hypotheses were tested using Pearson’s (r) Co relational Coefficient. The results of the study were; that motivation and performance are not significantly related. The study recommended that organisational Human Resource Teams need to inspect the extend up to which motivation has been able to meet employee prospect expectation. The results can be used to compare present scenario regarding level motivation and the optimum rate of motivation should be applied to attain organizational goals most effectivelyen_US
