dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at establishing the relationship between employee motivation initiatives, job satisfaction and job performance among employees from the Ministry of Education and Sports. The study adopted a descriptive research design with quantitative method of data collection. A convenience non-probability sampling method was used to draw a sample of 121 respondents both male and female from the population. Data was collected from respondents using self-administered standard questionnairesand through entering fully filled questionnaires into computer software program called Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23, data was analyzed. Results of the study revealed that the level of employee motivation initiatives at the Ministry is relatively high/good with the aspect of pay being the central aspect of employee motivation. Furthermore, findings revealed that there are high levels of job satisfaction among employees. While it was revealed that most employee`s level of performance is relatively good, thus the level of job performance (for employees) is high yet supervisors` perceptions regarding employee`s performance was average. Lastly, Pearson correlation analysis results revealed that, there was a significant positive relationship between employee motivation initiatives and job satisfaction; there was a significant positive relationship between employee motivation initiatives and job performance. There was a significant positive relationship between job satisfaction and job performance. Thus, employee motivation initiatives are crucial drivers in fostering both job satisfaction and job performance.en_US
