dc.description.abstractThe research examined the relationship between reward system, job satisfaction and job performance among administrative staff of Makerere University based on three key objectives. A quantitative approach involving a correlational study design was used on a sample of 80respondents arrived at using Krejcie and Morgan’s table (1970) and selected for participation using convenient sampling. Data entry and analysis was done using SPSSV23 were both descriptive and Pearson correlation results are presented in tables. The results revealed that reward system and job satisfaction are significantly related, there was no significant relationship between job satisfaction and job performance; and reward system and job performance were significantly related. The study thus concluded that maintaining a fair reward system would lead to job satisfaction and job performance. Organizations need to maintain certain conditions that lead to job satisfaction in order for it to evoke job performance among employees. The study thus recommends that managers should maintain an appropriate reward system that caters for both financial and non-financial rewards in order to have satisfied employees who can perform at their jobs.en_US
