The study sought to examine the relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction among employees of Centenary bank Mapeera house. The study used a correlational research design and was guided by three objectives which were (1) To find out the levels of occupational stress (2) to find out the levels of job satisfaction (3) to find out the predicting relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction. 96 questionnaires were randomly distributed among the respondents and these were self-administered. Data was entered into the computer using the Statistical Package for Social Scientist (SPSS), frequencies and percentages were used to analyze the objectives/research questions while Pearson Correlation Co efficient was used to test the hypothesis. Findings indicated that levels of occupational stress were high as well as job satisfaction. Additionally, there was no significant relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction. It was therefore recommended that administrators/managers sensitize their employees about the effects of stress and if possible, stressors be identified and mitigated.en_US
