dc.description.abstractThe study sought to examine the relationship between employee motivation and job satisfaction among primary teachers in private schools. The study used descriptive research design. Total of 65 questionnaires were randomly distributed among primary teachers. The researcher used self-administered questionnaires which were randomly distributed. They contained close ended questions to collect information from respondents that were teaching and non-teaching staff of Sir Apollo Kagwa schools. The data was entered using statistical package of social sciences (SPSS) and was used to test hypothesis. Pearson was used to test the null hypothesis and it proved that there is no significant relationship between employee motivation and job satisfaction. The research questions were answered using percentages (%) and hypothesis was answered using Pearson(r). The study also presented results where it should that most staff and non teaching staff of sir Apollo Kagwa schools were highly motivated and satisfied, it also discussed why some employees (Teachers) were not satisfied and pointed out many reasons but the major reasons for job dissatisfaction were low payments and lack of motivation such as allowance. The study proved how motivation level and job satisfaction levels were also high among teaching and non teaching staff of sir Apollo Kagwa schools. It was proved when most respondents (teachers) were agreeing with most of items. Some recommendations were put forward where minister of education and sports together with school management was supposed to provide motivation factors, increasing their salary and giving them study leave as a way of increasing performance. Lastly, areas of further studies were put forward as a ways of exploring motivation and job satisfaction.en_US
