dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between drug abuse, depression and stress among youth in Kamwokya Leadership. The study is main objectives was to find the relationship between drug abuse and depression, depression and stress and finally drug abuse and stress. A correlational research design was deployed for the study and this made it possible to explore the interrelationships between variables .Sampling of this study comprised 70 respondents and included youth who once faced and are currently facing the problem of drug abuse, depression and stress. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) and Pearson correlation coefficient was used to test for the significance of the hypothesis. As a result of this study, it has been determined that there is a significant positive correlation between drug abuse and depression, depression and stress and finally a positive relationship between drug abuse and stress and in conclusion the study suggested that for these variables to be dealt there is need for whole mitigation that is from both side of the society, parents and school level because these cut across all these institutions.en_US
