dc.description.abstractThis study aimed at investigating the relationship between Abusive Supervision, Occupational Stress and Workplace Deviance among the staff of Bishop Cipriano Kihangire Senior Secondary School. The study adopted a correlational study design with a population of 100 staff members. Simple random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 30 respondents from the population. Data was collected from the respondents using self-administered questionnaire and through Statistical Package for social sciences (SPSS) data was entered and analyzed. Descriptive statistics showed that 53.3% of the respondents were female and 44.2% were male, majority of the respondents were between 21-30 years (40.45%) and minority 51-60 years (0.8%). Results from Pearson correlation coefficient (r) further indicated that there was a significant relationship between Abusive Supervision and Occupational stress(r=0.22, p=0.01<0.005), a significant relationship between Occupational Stress and Workplace Deviance (r=0.23, p=0.01<0.05) and there is a significant relationship between Abusive Supervision and Workplace Deviance (r=0.77, p=0.00<0.01). Therefore, the findings of this study provide several recommendations to employers and supervisor sand the subordinates of all organizations both government and private. Basing on the findings, the researcher recommends employers to take keen interest in employees’ livelihood at the workplace to increase efficiency and effectiveness because there is a significant relationship between Abusive supervision, Occupational Stress and Workplace deviance.en_US
