dc.description.abstractThe study sought to establish the relationship between work environment, Job Satisfaction and Withdraw Behavior among nurses of Mulago Hospital. The study was guided by three objectives and these were; to examine the relationship between Work Environment and Job Satisfaction; the relationship between Work Environment and withdraw behavior; and the relationship between Job Satisfaction and withdraw behavior. The study was carried among nurses of Mulago Hospital. The researcher used the quantitative research approach and the correlational research design to conduct the study. The study sample comprised 80 respondents who were selected using the convenience non-random sampling technique. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data. For analysis, the data was entered in to the computer using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) version 25, and three hypotheses were tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficients (r). The study found out that there are positive significant relationships between; Work Environment and Job Satisfaction at (r = .596**, p = .000); Job Satisfaction and Withdraw Behaviourat (r = .756**, p = .000); and Job Satisfaction and Withdraw Behaviourat (r = -.596**, p =.000). It is thus concluded that creating a good working environment in organizations is a necessity if high Job Satisfactions levels are to be induced among employees. Therefore, it is imperative that the organizations identify the needs of their employees and satisfy them to ensure effective accomplishment of its goals and objectives. Good working environment increases employee satisfaction, level of commitment, efficiency & effectiveness, productivity, and also develops a sense of ownership among employees which ultimately increases organizational effectiveness as well as reduces Withdraw Behavioursen_US
