dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at examining the relationship between motivation and job performance. It was carried out at Volunteer Efforts for Development Concerns (VEDCO). A sample of 59 respondents both male and female respondents were selected from a population of 70 staff basing on Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sample size determination table. A correlation study design was used and a purpose constructed self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data which was later analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS). Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to measure the level of significance of the hypothesis and results revealed that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between motivation and job performance. Hence, motivation of employees needs to be considered a key factor in achieving competitive advantage.en_US
