dc.description.abstractThis study examined the relationship between Stress, Socioeconomic Status and Drug Abuse among adults in slum areas a case of Katanga slum. It adopted a correlational research design. A sample of 124 adults were selected by use of simple random technique. Data was collected by use of self-administered questionnaires and was analyzed using the statistical package for social scientists (SPSS). Spearman Correlation coefficient (rs) was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. It was revealed that there is no significant relationship between Stress and Socioeconomic status, it was also revealed that there was a negative significant relationship between socioeconomic status and drug abuse, and lastly it was revealed that there is no relationship between stress and drug abuse.en_US
