The purpose of the study was to establish the effect of occupation stress, workload on job satisfaction of Midland High School in Kawempe Division. It was carried out using the research objectives which included; to determine the association between workload and job satisfaction among teachers, to find out the association between occupational stress and job satisfaction among teachers and to determine the relationship between occupational stress and workload among teachers of Midland High School in Kawempe Division. The study adopted a correlational, cross-sectional study design using quantitative approach. It was utilized to investigate the associated relationship between workload, occupational stress and job satisfaction of teachers in Kawempe Division. A population of 50 respondents was selected for the study; however, the researcher sampled only 42 respondents as a sample size to respond to the study. The method used for data collection was self-administered questionnaires. Both primary and secondary sources of data were used for the study. According to the findings of the study, it was revealed that workload, was the major cause of occupational stress and it has a great effect on job satisfaction of teachers. Therefore, workload was represented by correlation coefficient of (r = .055**, p = 0.731 > 0.05) since r > 0.05, this means that the relationship is not significant while occupational stress was represented by correlation coefficient of. Since (r = 0.323**, p = 0.037 > 0.05). r > 0.05). This means that the relationship is not significant and workload and occupational stress with correlations coefficient of (r = 1.000**, p = 0.000 < 0.5). Since r < 0.5, this means that the relationship is strong. Meaning that, workload is greatly affected by occupational stress in Midland High School, Kawempe Division which affects job satisfaction. It was concluded that management workload and occupational stress has major effect on job satisfaction and it was concluded that due to high amount of workload at schools, teachers’ salaries and wages should be increased from the normal monthly payment to better payments so as to reduce on occupational stress.
