dc.description.abstractThe main purpose for the study was to determine the significant relationship between employee engagement and work performance among the Lecturers of Makerere University. A correlational research design was used for this study. The sample size consisted of forty eight respondents who were lecturers of Makerere University. The tool used to collect data was self-administered questionnaire. The research data entry was done using statistical package for the Health scientists and IT specialists and analyzed the relationship using the Person product moment coefficient correlation. The study revealed that there is a positive relationship between employee engagement and work performance. Therefore organizations should focus focus on employee feedback and as a result have achieved significant business results through enhanced levels of employee engagement.en_US
