dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of the study was to examine relationship between job security, employee satisfaction and affective commitment. The objective of the study was to assess the relationship between job security and employee satisfaction, to assess the relationship between job security and affective commitment and to assess the relationship between employee satisfaction and affective commitment. The study adopted a correlational survey as its research design to gather information for proper analysis and making appropriate inferences, generalizations and conclusions to the population where the sample of 127 of both male and female was used. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents and the analysis was done using SPSS. Pearson correlation was used to test the degree or the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variables and it was found that job security and employee satisfaction are significantly related. (r = 091, P = 311 > 0.01), Employee satisfaction and affective commitment are significantly related (r = 160, P = 072>0.01) and job security and affective commitment are significantly related (r = .272, P = 002 < 0.01) The researcher recommended that managers need to understand that job security explains for affective commitment for instance, strategies such as job security tests need to be ad mistered to detect for affective commitment in the workplace.en_US
