Social support, parenting styles and risky sexual behavior among adolescents
Abstract
The of the study was to find out whether there is a relationship between social support, parenting styles and risky sexual behavior among adolescents age between 12–24. The study adopted a comparative and correlation research design with a sample size of 100 respondents. Data was analysed using a statistical package for social scientist (spss) computer programme. Results indicated that there is no significant relationship between social support and parenting styles. There is a significant relationship between parenting styles and risky sexual behavior. There is no significant relationship between social support and risky sexual behavior
