dc.description.abstractThe investigated the influence of organizational culture on the organizational commitment among employees of Pride Microfinance limited. Cross-sectional and correlational study designs were adapted to examine the relationship that existed between organizational culture and organizational commitment. The target population for the research study was the employees at Pride Microfinance Limited and the sample selected consisted of both male and female employees. The sampling technique to select participants for the study was a simple random, a self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection and it comprised of both closed and open ended questions focusing on organizational culture and commitment. Data was entered into a computer using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and analyzed using Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient (r). Findings of the study indicated that the components of power and role culture there is a significant relationship with the employees’ organizational commitment which is not the case with the support and achievement culture that shows that there is no significant relationship with the employees’ organizational commitment. The researcher concluded that a favorable organizational culture with well-defined set values help the employees apply these values on a daily basis that makes them love their work and be committed to it. It was also concluded that in trying to make employees work in teams, the right people with similar attitudes should always be brought together because this yields on high level of organizational commitment.en_US
