dc.description.abstract | The study aimed at investigating whether there is a direct relationship between Employee Assistance Programs and Psychological Wellbeing, Psychological wellbeing and Employee engagement and Employee Assistance Programs and Employee Engagement of employees of Jump start Africa. The quantitative study adopted a correlation study design with a population of 100 employees and a sample of 80 employees. Data was collected using Simple random sampling technique to get responses using self-administered questionnaires and then the data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) where Pearson Product Moment and Correlation coefficients was used to test the study hypotheses. The study found out that there was no significant relationship between employee assistance programs and Psychological Wellbeing at r=.223 and P=.064, The study found out that there is no significant relationship between Psychological Wellbeing and Employee Engagement at r=.218 and P=.070 and finally the study found out that there is a significant relationship between Employee assistance programs and Employee Engagement ar=.260 and P=0.030. This implies that, organizations need to employee strategies that help to improv on the psychological wellbeing of its employees apart from Employee Assistance Programs but also maintain or improve on the Wellness programs provided which will help in yielding passion commitment and the willingness of their employees to fully engage in the work that they do. | en_US |
