    Experiences of intersex people in Kampala

    Abstract
    The purpose of this study titled “Experiences of Intersex Persons in Kampala” was to examine the general life experiences of intersex persons in Kampala. The research design was qualitative and the sample included four intersex persons recruited from the Support Initiative for People with Congenital Disorders. Individual interviews were done at the participants’ homes. My key findings included; loss of family identity, identity issues, conflict in assigned gender versus chosen gender, sex versus gender, missed opportunities and economic challenges and my data was analyzed using thematic approach.
