dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Social support, Career interest and Career choice. The objectives of the study were to establish the relationship between Social support and Career choice, to examine the relationship between Career interest and Career choice and to ascertain the relationship between Social support and Career interest. The study was using a sample 66 respondents, 42 male and 24 female final year medical students from Makerere University who were adopted using the snow ball sampling technique, data was collected using self-administered questionnaires and later analyzed the data using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Scientists). The findings showed that Social support and Career choice were negatively insignificantly related (p=0.799 at r=-0.032). The findings also showed that Career interest and Career choice were positively and significantly related (p=0.00 at r=0.0222) and furthermore, the findings showed that Social support and Career interest were negatively and insignificantly related (p=0.700 at r=-0.048). These findings provided a foundation for interventions to be created in order to facilitate career choice among students.en_US
