dc.description.abstractThe aim of the study was to examine the relationship between effort reward imbalance, turnover intentions and work engagement among employees of Nile Breweries Jinja plant. The study particularly investigated the combined effects of effort reward imbalance and work engagement on turn over intentions and aimed at determining if the existence of effort reward imbalance directly influences turnover intentions. The study serves to add to the literature on effort reward imbalance and turn over intentions while adding to knowledge on the usefulness of work engagement. The researcher used a correlation research design in order to summarize the findings and infer relationships between the various factors influencing turn over intentions. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from a random sample of 100 staff members from selected departments of Nile breweries Jinja. The software program, statistical package for the social sciences was used for comprehensive data analysis. The researcher’s analysis showed a strong correlation between efforts reward Imbalance, work engagement and turn over intentions. The researcher concludes that employees that are engaged and appreciate the effort-reward ratio are less likely to seek alternative employment.en_US
