Perceived organizational support, job satisfaction and employee engagement among employees at Tian Tang Group Of Companies
Abstract
The main purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support, Job Satisfaction and Employee Engagement among employees at Tian Tang group of companies. The study was to establish the relationship between three variables that is to say Perceived Organizational Support and Job Satisfaction, Job Satisfaction and Employee Engagement and finally Perceived Organizational Support and Employee Engagement. The researcher used correlation research design to determine the relationship between variables. A sample of 65 employees from a population of 211 employees was randomly selected to participate in the study by answering the questionnaires about Perceived Organizational Support which was measured using an 8 item questionnaire, Job Satisfaction was measured using a 7 item questionnaire and Employee Engagement was measured using an 8 item questionnaire. Data was collected between 3rd January and 20th January and it was analyzed using the Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient. The findings showed that there was a significant relationship between Perceived Organizational Support and Job Satisfaction, there was a significant relationship between Job Satisfaction and Employee Engagement and that there was no significant relationship between Perceived Organizational Support and Employee Engagement.
