Supportive supervision, job satisfaction and organizational commitment among employees Of Lira District Local Government

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between components of supportive supervision, job satisfaction and organizational commitment among employees of lira district local government. A sample of 60 employees, both men and women participated in the study. This study adopted a correlation-study design with a quantitative approach. The respondents were chosen using simple random sampling technique. A self-administered questionnaire was used in the data collection. The results indicate that there is a weak, positive significant relationship between supportive supervision and job satisfaction. The results also indicate that there is a weak, positive significant relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. However, the result indicates that there is no significant relationship between supportive supervision and organizational commitment. The researcher recommended that supervisors at level levels in the organization need to practice supportive supervision because it is found to influence the level of employee job satisfaction.
