    Abstract
The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between ethical leadership, employee engagement and task performance among workers of ministry of gender industry development. This study points out the following object; to examine the relationship between ethical leadership and employee engagement among workers of ministry of gender labour and social development. To examine the relationship between ethical leadership and task performance among the workers of ministry of gender labour and social development. To examine the relationship between ethical leadership and task performance among the workers of ministry of gender labour and social development. Results in table 2 show that there is no relationship between ethical leadership and employee engagement (p=.412, r=.189, p>0.05). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis was rejected. Results in table 3 show that there is no significant relationship between ethical leadership and task performance (r=.-204, p=.363, p>0.05). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis has been rejected and results in the above table show that there is a positive significant relationship between employee engagement and task performance among employees of MGLSD (r=.608, p=.003, p<0.01) hence the alternative hypothesis accepted. It was concluded that Ministries need to employ various ways of ploughing ethical leadership in their ministries so that they enable their employees to engage in different activities of the organisation. This will help to increase on the task performance of the ministry. Ethical leaders speak to us about our identity, what we are and what we can become, how we live and how we could live better and hence should be strictly emphasised and the ministry can measure performance by asking supervisors to rate their subordinates on various behaviours relevant for the job.
