dc.description.abstractDepression is a serious problem among school going adolescents. The study aimed at examining the relationship between social support, self-esteem and depression among adolescents. It adopted a correlational research design. A sample of 102 adolescents both male and female aged between 13-20 years were selected by use of simple random sampling technique. Self-administered questionnaires were used to collect data and it was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists. Spearman’s Rank Order Correlation Coefficient (rs ) was used to test the significance of hypotheses. Results revealed that there is a significant relationship between social support and depression among adolescents as well as self-esteem and depression among adolescents. In addition, results revealed that there is a significant relationship between social support and self-esteem among adolescents.en_US
