In conclusion, locus of control is a great determinant of occupational stress among employees of the organization. This is because it determines individual perception and comprehension of the stress causing situations at work. Employers are called upon to provide a conducive work environment for employees so as to minimize the chances of occupational stress. It was recommended that; more studies also should be conducted across different populations to identify sources of high occupational stress to improve on employee locus of control, which also enhances performance among employees in Uganda. Employees are also called upon to have a high sense of self-actualization so as to identify their locus of control to enable them potentially alleviate stress while at work.
