dc.description.abstract | The research aimed at examining the relationship between social support, self-esteem and depression among adolescents living with HIV/AIDs aged 13-18 at Mulago ISS Clinic. A sample of 79 (49 females and 30 male) respondents were used. The multi- dimensional scale of social support was used to measure Social support, the Rosenberg scale of self-esteem was used to measure Self-esteem and the Beck depressive inventory (BDI 21) was used to measure Depression. Pearson correlation(s) was adopted to measure the significance of the hypotheses and the findings showed that there is a significant relationship between social support and depression. However, results also revealed that there is no significant relationship between social support and self-esteem, self-esteem and depression. | en_US |
