dc.description.abstractThis study aimed at investing the relationship between Parenting styles, low socioeconomic status and Teenage pregnancy among adolescents in Uganda today. The study adopted a correlational study design with a population of 122 respondents. Multistage random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 52 respondents from the population. Data was collected from the respondents using a self-administered questionnaire and through Statistical Package for social sciences (SPSSV23) data was entered and analyzed. Results from Pearson correlation showed no significant relationship between low socioeconomic status and Teenage pregnancy, no significant relationship between low socioeconomic status and parenting, and also the findings revealed and showed that there is a significant relationship between parenting styles and teenage pregnancy among adolescents in Uganda today. This study recommends the government health facilities, welfare groups, and schools plus parents to provide counseling services, sexual and reproductive health services in order to inform the adolescents about the life skills, health, and adaptive coping strategies that may help them prevent early teenage pregnancies.en_US
