dc.description.abstractPurpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between Occupational Stress, Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Wellbeing basing on the following objectives, to find out the relationship between Occupational Stress and Emotional Intelligence, to find out whether Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Wellbeing are related, to establish the relationship between Occupational Stress and Psychological Wellbeing. The research involved a quantitative method which was administered in questionnaires total sample size was 86 employees all from Friends Consult Limited. Data was contained from library materials, internet and journals. Data was then analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20 from where percentage frequency tables were generated while Person’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was used to examine the relationship between variables. Findings revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between Occupational Stress and Emotional Intelligence, findings also revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Wellbeing, lastly, findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between Occupational Stress and Psychological Wellbeing. In conclusion, Occupational Stress directly affects Emotional Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence is an important feature of Psychological Wellbeing, people with high Emotional Intelligence possess good mental health which ultimately leads to a happy life.en_US
