Social Media, Self Esteem and Psychological Wellbeing among Students at Makerere University
Abstract
This study was aimed at examining the relationship between social media, self-esteem and psychological well-being among students of Makerere University in Kampala district, Uganda. The Objectives were, to examine the relationship between social media and self-esteem, to examine the relationship between social media and psychological well-being and to examine the relationship between self-esteem and psychological. The tools and techniques used to collect the data from the sample were Social Media Addiction Scale by Bergen, Rosenberg self-esteem scale (RSES) developed by Morris Rosenberg with 10 items and psychological well-being scale (PWB) by Ryffs with 18itesms. Data was analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS).
